What you’ll do on a typical day:
Support the deployment of LSS in the operation
Mentor organization leaders in the use and value of process improvement methodologies
Support LSS continuous improvement initiatives at sites by coordinating and facilitating LSS projects
Support and implement new training curriculums; manage and administer training, Kaizen facilitation, project management, and project facilitation
Partner with management teams to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities
Identify, engage, and mentor internal candidates to become Lean Six Sigma practitioners as Lean Leaders, Kaizen Facilitators, Black Belts, and Green Belts
Deliver significant quantifiable operational improvement and financial benefit across the organization
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related technical discipline
10 years of experience in distribution/supply chain with 5 years of experience in utilization of LSS methodologies
Black Belt or Lean Leader certification
Experience leading Value Stream Assessments and Lean Improvement Events (Kaizen events)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, statistical software, and process mapping/modeling
Excellent interpersonal and management skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and get along with diverse personalities
Results and action oriented; organized with strong problem-solving skills
Availability to travel up to 50% of the time
It’d be great if you also have:
Lean Sensei, Lean Master or Master Black Belt training and/or certification
Management experience in one or multiple functional disciplines; leading a Lean Six Sigma deployment; teaching Green Belt and Kaizen Facilitator classes; and improving business processes
Prediction modeling tools such as Crystal Ball
